Cloisonne Earrings Cloisonne beads are lovely additions to any jewellery - particularly earrings. They are generally made today by soldering fine metal wire (usually brass) onto the surface of a metal ball (usually copper) in intricate patterns. Different coloured enamel pastes are used to fill in the spaces between the wire designs. The bead is then fired, polished and the exposed wires electroplated with gold or silver.
