Vintage Lucite and Glass Earrings Lucite is a very high quality material that has properties of both plastic and glass. The Moonglow lucite beads in our earring designs were mostly manufactured in Italy in the 1950's and 60's and have an amazing iridescent 'moonglow' shine that looks as though it comes from within the bead. The moonglow beads come in a fantastic range of colours and are very light. In addition, we also have used some beautiful Japanese, Czech and
German glass beads from the late 40's and early 50's, and interesting
metal beads from the 50's in our earrings.
